Accept a coach's invitation and link your child

Your coach emails you an invitation. Accept it and choose your child.

Who does it

You, the parent who added the child.

The steps

1. Open the email from your coach and press "Open the invitation".
2. New to RateMyCoach? Create your account first: choose "Parent", confirm your email and finish setup. Then open the invitation email again.
3. Under "Which child?", choose your child.
4. No child yet? Type their first name and last initial, choose their "Sport", answer "Is your child 13 or older?", then press "Add".
5. Press "Accept". If you do not want to connect, press "Decline".
6. For a child under 13, after "Accept" you see one box: "I am this child's parent or legal guardian, and I agree to share this record with" the coach's name. Check it and press "Send confirmation email". Open the email and press "Confirm sharing" within 24 hours, signed in as yourself. Nothing is shared until you do. Your "Sharing log" (on your "Sessions" page) lists each step.

How you will know it is done

You see "Accepted." Your coach now shows on your "Sessions" page under "Your children's coaches". You can also invite a coach yourself: see the guide Invite your coach.
