Terms of Service

2A.1 Agreement: Veriden is provided to organizations under a separate Veriden Client Services Agreement. If these Terms conflict with that agreement, the agreement governs for the organization and its authorized users.

2A.2 What Veriden does: Veriden monitors and reports coach background-screening status on behalf of the client organization. The organization remains the qualified entity: it conducts screening, attests to its roster, issues any required notices, and makes its own decisions. Eligibility is determined by the State of Florida. RateMyCoach LLC does not conduct background screening, does not capture or submit fingerprints, does not receive criminal history results, does not determine eligibility, does not provide training, and does not verify the authenticity of credentials.

2A.3 Status summaries: any "cleared to coach" or similar status shown by Veriden is a summary as of the time shown, based on information reported by the organization and the state. It is not a certification, an eligibility determination, an endorsement, or a guarantee of any individual's conduct or of any organization's compliance.

2A.4 Coaches as users: a coach placed on a client organization's roster may receive an invitation to sign documents and view their own status. Use of the coach portal is subject to these Terms and to the privacy commitments in our Privacy Policy, including that the platform never holds the coach's screening results or Social Security number.

3.1 Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3.2 Age Requirements: You must be 18 or older to create an account, and you confirm it when you sign up (“I am 18 or older”). A person under 18 never holds an account. A child's details are entered only by the parent who holds the account, and are limited to what section 4 of our Privacy Policy lists. A child does not enter data or send messages.

3.3 Account Types: There are three account types: coach or trainer; parent (for an athlete under 18, whose record the parent holds); and athlete 18 or older, who holds their own record. Organization accounts are set up by request.

4.1 No Screening by RateMyCoach: RateMyCoach does not conduct safety screening and does not show any identity-verification or background-check result.

4.2 User Responsibility: Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence when selecting coaches. The Service does not guarantee coach suitability.

4.3 Coaches, parents and athletes: A coach may invite a parent, or an athlete 18 or older, by email, and either may invite a coach. A coach sees an athlete's first name and last initial, sport and level, and the skills and sessions the coach records, only after the parent accepts and chooses that child, or the athlete 18 or older accepts for themselves; either can remove the coach at any time, which ends the coach's access at once. When a coach schedules, changes or cancels a session, RateMyCoach emails the parent, or the athlete 18 or older, the date, time, length and place. RateMyCoach does not arrange or supervise sessions.

5.1 Prohibited Content: Users may not post content that is defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violates any applicable laws.

5.2 Content Rights: By posting content on RateMyCoach, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with the Service.

6.1 Subscriptions: Veriden organization subscriptions are billed in advance under the Veriden Client Services Agreement. No individual plan is currently sold. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

RateMyCoach is funded by what its customers pay, not by advertising or data. The following are binding commitments, not merely policy preferences:

• No data sale. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, or the personal information of any child or athlete on your account, to any third party.
• No advertising. We do not display third-party advertising on the Service, and we do not serve behavioral or targeted ads.
• No sharing with ad networks or data brokers. We do not share your personal information with advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not use it for ad targeting.
